May 2013
We have been very busy all of April cleaning. We cleaned our storeroom and most of the store. We rented a portable storage unit and moved everything into it. Then we cleaned out the "can’t sell" stuff and gave six loads to Goodwill and eight black bags to the garbage. Cardboard was five feet tall! There are shelves and drawers WITH LABELS now!
On May 13th we will be 8! Happy Birthday to US! This was something we had to do to get in control again.
We picked up a moving sale of hundreds of skeins of vintage acrylic yarn Saturday the 4th. One of our customers is moving into senior living and she is 83. She has a bad shoulder and cannot knit anymore.
Follow us on Facebook and see all the pictures we've been posting. It has been quite a journey. The "Kitten" has two very dear friends who volunteered to help us clean up and out. Barbara and Pati. Pati still came and helped after we let the unit be picked up. She is cleaning piles and shelves in the office and totes under tables.
On a sad note, my mom died April 8th of old age. She was 92, in a nursing home, and suffering from dementia. She loved spring and loved flowers. She was an artist and flowers were one of her favorite subjects. I wish we had more room in the store so we could give an art exhibit of her work that I have. We will some day. Spring flower planting at my home brings her close to me.
Thank you for your support!
