January 2010
WOW ! ! ! Another year is gone Folks! We are still here and we would like to thank you for your support through the ‘09 recession. We know that 2010 will be another tough year here in Oregon because our unemployment is still so high, but we will strive to keep our prices the low to help everyone to stay crafting in Portland.
THIS IS A REMINDER OF HOW WE OPERATE.
We BUY 90% OF THE MERCHANDISE IN OUR STORE FROM FELLOW CRAFTER AND ESTATES OF CRAFTERS. WE BUY FROM YOU! (And you are welcome to call us to set a buy time.)
10% IS DONATED, AGAIN FROM PEOPLE WHO ARE GLAD TO SEE THE THINGS GONE AND LOVE THE IDEA THAT OTHER CRAFTERS WILL BUY IT AND ENJOY IT TOO. OUR STORE HAS SAVED A LOT OF "STUFF" FROM LANDFILLS.
Crafty Wonderland had their BIG Sale and it was great! I had such a good time, especially visiting with the many vendors that are our patrons. We are very proud of all our talented crafters, but it was great seeing everyone in this sale and doing so well.
We are going to have some interesting changes in 2010
We will add a page of our favorite crafters that make items from our stock of goodies.
We now have a FACEBOOK page for Knittn’ Kitten. Remember our weird spelling or you will miss it. We also have a Flickr page. If you have made something from goods you bought from us PLEASE post it so everyone can see. It is called Show and Tell computer style. We are thinking how can we put on trunk shows for you all to showcase your crafts in the Kitten. Space is our enemy in here, but we are working on it.
